Delete your GreySpace account
GreySpace app (com.fab.wifiDirectTransfer), published by Fabien Chauveau.
A GreySpace account is optional: the free tier, unlimited receiving included, works with no account and no email address. If you created one, you can delete it yourself at any time, without writing to us and with no waiting period.
From the app, in three taps
- Open GreySpace on any of your devices.
- Go to Settings, then tap your email address at the top.
- Choose "Delete my account" and confirm.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. Everything is erased from our servers at once: no email to write, no delay, no way back.
No longer have the app?
Email [email protected] from the account’s email address (that is what proves the account is yours), with "Account deletion" as the subject. We erase the account within 72 working hours, and within 30 days in all cases.
What is erased, immediately
- Your email address — the only personal data an account requires
- The name and platform of each of your devices
- Installation identifiers (random UUIDs, unrelated to your identity or your hardware)
- Your subscription status: plan, end date, originating store
- Last-activity timestamps for your devices
- Your sessions and the hashes of your 6-digit codes
What is kept, and why
- Subscription check logs: 30 days, then automatically deleted (Cloudflare D1, European Union). They do not contain your email address.
- Purchase data: kept by the store where you paid (Apple, Google or Stripe) under their accounting obligations. It is not held by us, and deleting your account does not reach it.
- Nothing else. GreySpace collects no location, no advertising identifier, no contacts, no crash logs — and never your files, which do not leave your local network.
Careful: deleting the account does not cancel the subscription
These are two separate things. Your subscription is cancelled where you paid for it: App Store, Google Play or Stripe. If you delete your account without cancelling, billing continues. Cancel first, then delete.
