1. Acceptance
By downloading or using GreySpace ("the App"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. The App
GreySpace is a local network file-transfer application for macOS, Windows, and Android. It enables file transfers between devices on the same local network (Wi-Fi or LAN) without routing traffic through any external server.
The App is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Use it at your own risk.
3. Free plan
Receiving files is unlimited, forever, regardless of number or size. Sending is capped at 10 GB per month. No account is required. We reserve the right to change the limits of the Free plan at any time, with reasonable notice.
When a send goes over the month’s free allowance, the app may offer you 7 days of full Pro trial, once per email address: unlimited sending, no card required. This trial does not auto-renew and does not lead to any payment; after the 7 days, you simply go back to the free plan above until you choose a Pro subscription. It is not offered in apps installed from Apple’s App Store (iPhone, iPad, Mac App Store). A trial started on first launch of an earlier version runs until it ends.
4. Pro subscription
GreySpace Pro is sold as a subscription, monthly or annual, with automatic renewal at each billing cycle: there is no more one-time license for new purchases. A Pro subscription unlocks unlimited sending, no per-file size limit, and commercial use is included.
Two plans, VAT not applicable (article 293 B of the French Tax Code): Pro monthly at €5.99 per month, automatically renewed each month; Pro annual at €39.99 per year (that’s €3.33/month), automatically renewed each year. Unless you cancel (see the next section), the subscription renews automatically at the same plan and price at each billing cycle.
- Your subscription, and the account it is tied to, are personal and non-transferable
- You may not resell, sublicense, or share your subscription or your account credentials
- We reserve the right to revoke a subscription or license in cases of abuse or fraudulent purchase
We may change our prices. A subscription already paid for runs to the end of its current period at the original price; any price change applies only from the next renewal onward, and you will be notified in advance.
Subscriptions purchased through the App Store or the Mac App Store: the applicable end-user licence is Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available here: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. It governs the licence to use the app purchased on those stores; these terms continue to apply to the GreySpace service itself.
5. Cancellation and right of withdrawal
You can cancel your subscription at any time to stop the next renewal. Subscription purchased via Stripe (Windows, downloaded macOS, Android outside Play, web): cancel from “Manage my subscription” in the app, from the management link emailed at purchase, or email us at [email protected]. Subscription purchased via the App Store or Google Play Store: cancel from your Apple or Google account’s subscription settings — we cannot cancel a store subscription on your behalf.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for: your Pro access remains active until then, with no pro-rata refund for the remaining time.
In accordance with EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU), you also have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of your first purchase. To exercise it, email [email protected] within 14 days with your order details.
Because GreySpace is a digital service that starts executing immediately (your Pro access unlocks right away), this right of withdrawal ends as soon as the service has started with your express consent and your express waiver of that right (article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code). In practice, once Pro access is activated, the purchase is final.
If you purchased through Apple’s App Store or the Google Play Store, that store’s terms apply in addition to these, and refunds there are handled directly by the store — not by us.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use GreySpace to:
- Transfer illegal content of any kind
- Circumvent, reverse-engineer, or tamper with the subscription verification system
- Redistribute or repackage the App without written permission
7. Intellectual property
GreySpace and its source code are proprietary. All rights are reserved. The name "GreySpace" and its logo are trademarks of the developer. You may not use them without explicit permission.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of GreySpace shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to data loss or corruption.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of France. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of French courts, without prejudice to mandatory EU consumer protection rules that apply in your country of residence.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be communicated via the App or this website.
