What sets it apart

No internet

The two devices find each other on the same network: a home router, a phone’s hotspot, or Wi-Fi Direct between two Android phones. Nothing goes through a server, nothing is stored anywhere else.
No recompression

A video or a photo arrives exactly as it left: same format, same resolution.
Checked on arrival

Each file is written aside, checked against a fingerprint, and only then made visible. A partial file never shows up on the receiving device.
Every pair, Windows included

iPhone to a Windows PC, Mac to PC, Android to Mac: the same app on all five systems. After a short Wi-Fi drop, the transfer picks up again on its own.

Where it comes from

"I was in a train station, 10 GB of footage stuck on my phone. No signal. The cable buried in my bag, and the Lightning port would have throttled me to 15 MB/s anyway. AirDrop? Useless, I was on PC. WhatsApp would have crushed the quality. The cloud? Double punishment: 2 hours of unstable upload, then re-download on the other side. I almost threw my phone at a wall. So I coded GreySpace."
