A Quick Share alternative, also on Mac and iPhone.
Quick Share connects your Android phone to your Windows PC. GreySpace transfers files across Android, Mac, iPhone and Windows over your Wi-Fi, with no account required.
Free, no account. Other platforms
And on your computer?
The right tool for your devices.
An Android phone and a Windows PC, that’s all
Quick Share is already built into Android and the Windows app works great on the same network. For that specific setup, stick with it.
A Mac, an iPhone, or mixed devices
Quick Share does not provide any app for macOS, and iPhone is left out on Windows. GreySpace transfers between Android, Mac, iPhone and PC without exception.
Sending large batches? GreySpace retries on its own if Wi-Fi drops, without resending what already arrived, and verifies each file on arrival.
Where Quick Share leaves you stuck
-
No Mac application
Google does not provide Quick Share on macOS: a Mac cannot send or receive using Quick Share.
GreySpace has a native Mac app notarized by Apple, compatible with Windows and Android.
-
No iPhone support on Windows
Quick Share for Windows cannot communicate with an iPhone or iPad.
GreySpace connects iPhone directly to Windows PC over local Wi-Fi with no cables or cloud.
-
The app on both ends
Quick Share needs an Android device or the Windows app on each side: no receiving in a plain web browser.
With GreySpace, whoever doesn’t have the app scans a QR code and receives in their browser.
Side by side, unbiased.
